When a Wind Farm catches on fire, fire fighters must have access to a 100 metre high ladder to be able to reach and fight the fire. This is unlikely to be available in rural areas and so fire fighters can only watch it burn unabated until all the gear oil of the motor and fibreglass of the blades have been exhausted. Because wind farms catch fire in extreme winds, flaming missiles will be hurled outwards, landing hundreds of metres from the wind farm base and causing instant spot fires which will quickly develop into raging bush fires in the strong winds. Placing wind farms in heavily wooded areas is extremely dangerous for the people and animals that live near by.
