Tigers Reserves show class in strong win
Eden 46 Tathra 14

April 28th 2013 by Dave Evelyn

A patched up Eden side weakened by player absences dazzled the small but appreciative crowd at George brown Oval on Sunday, in the process putting a seemingly solid Tathra side to the sword. The Tigers clinical display was led by five eighth Andrew Evelyn who scored two tries and threw the final pass for three more and for good measure put some big hits on in defence Half Aaron Aldridge, Shaq Aldridge, Chris Challinor and Chris Chalker whoall stood out, while Alec Bell and Elvis Tui showed plenty of enterprise. Andrew Love was very good, well supported up front by Jacob Young and a special mention must go to the evergreen and seemingly indestructible El Presidente Graham White, who "just happened to have his boots in the car" and ran out to help the side when they were short of players. What magnificent Tiger spirit!.

The final score of 46-14 was a fair indication of the Tigers dominance all across the field.

This was a fine effort by the Eden side and augers well for the rest of the competition as Eden's reserve grade sides are notoriously slow starters in the competition. This side has loads of talent and Tigers fans should make a point of getting to the games early to watch this team go around .
